De montfort university - Our staff want to help
The COVID-19 outbreak has disrupted so many lives; And so many things are in chaos right now. One thing that doesn't change is the resolve of our staff, friends and our institutional wide commitment to the public good. Even during the most worrying of times we have received selfless offers of support for our students.
Our University is in a position where we are able to respond quickly to this evolving situation and provide financial support where it is needed most.
The University has been working overtime to ensure the safety and welfare of our students, many whom have thankfully been able to travel home to be with family.
Our priority has to be to support students remaining on campus, those who are isolating with no other choice, or those unable to return home due to travel restrictions. With part time jobs on hold and supplementary incomes in doubt, these students face an unprecedented situation with enormous levels of financial uncertainty.
The University has provided a significant amount of funding for these students, and we know many of our staff have expressed a desire to contribute to these funds. Anything donated by staff will be in addition to that provided by the University.
How you can contribute
We have set up this giving page to enable our staff and friends of the university to make a donation to our COVID-19 support appeal. The university will pool together all donations allowing them collectively to have the biggest impact to the lives of our students affected by COVID-19.
You will make a difference!
- You don't need to give money to help our students. Please share this project (using the share options above) with anyone you think would like to make a donation – on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, by email, telephone, or on your blog.
- Donations will be received by the Advancement Team and will be transferred to Student Welfare and Finance . They will process the awards to the students as per the hardship fund.
- The money you give will be put to good use; be it to help a student to keep on top of their bills or to put food in their cupboards. THANK YOU.
