Fundraising to help children feel part of a loving community. Donations welcome!

A short summary of your project

As part of DMU Square Mile India, DMU alumni will travel alongside current DMU students to Ahmedabad to volunteer together and make a difference. As part of the Loving Community Project, working with Manav Sadhna the group will have the chance to engage in a life changing project and see the positive impact Square Mile India has on local residents.

This opportunity will consist of a mixture of volunteering with the Loving Community, the Gandhi Ashram, contributing to a conference and participating in volunteering workshops.

As part of DMU Square Mile India, students, staff, alumni and the public raise money to support over 2,000 children a year from across Ahmedabad, and fund the running costs of the Loving Community Centre.

Your story:

One of the main reasons why i wanted to take part in this trip was to offer children the opportunity to enjoy life to the max.

I also wish to share the experience with those i work with to show just how much of a positive difference we can make.

Where will the money go?

ALL donations, no matter how small or large, will go towards the overall trip and therefore contribute towards the wellbeing of children in Ahmedbad.
